The Heart Collectors

Self managed and proudly independent Australian group, 'The Heart Collectors', transcend conventionality and genre with their old-school alternative folk sound, bringing back the sentimentality of 70's inspired harmonies, combined with a progressive lyrical wisdom to invite positive change. With soaring cello, intricate guitar, sparkling mandolin, boot banging banjo, and the occasional passionate strike of the tambourine, these four charismatic performers create synergy with a 'Fleetwood Mac' meets 'Peter Paul and Mary' inspired marriage of rock sensibilities and clean classical precision.

Nicole Brophy

Rock, Singer-Songwriter Nicole Brophy has a voice and style compared to the likes of PJ Harvey, Lucinda Williams & La Roux. Stylistically it fits somewhere between gritty rock, alt-country hoedowns and moody, bluesy numbers, all brought together by a raw charismatic rockin’ earthy voice and boundless energy. She has an undeniable presence on stage, always moving, engaging the crowd, playing acoustic or electric guitar and just driving her passion into her songs. Growing up on the South Coast of NSW and travelling across Australia and overseas Nicole has performed to thousands at some of Australia’s biggest music festivals as front woman of her previous band Dirty Lucy or as guitarist/backing vocalist for over 4 years in Kate Miller-Heidke’s touring band.  Lucky for us Nicole is now bottling that “whiskey soaked” voice into some darn tasty brew that deserves to be heard and shared.
